Dear Friends: <\/p>\n
It’s another active weekend at Berkeley Friends Church:<\/p>\n

1) This Saturday, 6\/8,<\/b> is the bimonthly Harvest Day<\/b> for the Berkeley Neighborhood Food Project<\/a>.<\/b> All of the donations from the various neighborhoods will be coming in to the Food Pantry that morning. Volunteers are still needed<\/b> to receive, weigh, sort and store the donations! You can come by as early as 9:30 AM<\/b> and there will be things to do through 12:30 PM.<\/b> <\/p>\n

Also, if you’re participating in BFC’s “neighborhood” and didn’t bring in your bag last Sunday, you’re welcome to bring yours by any time between 10 and noon.<\/p>\n

2) On Sunday, 6\/9,<\/b> we will begin at 10 AM<\/b> with our regular Sunday School classes<\/b> for adults and children, as well as the Quakerism class. We meet for worship at 11 AM,<\/b> with a message following on the themes of Giuseppe’s message of last week, considering more dimensions of the Biblical promise of covenant,<\/b> and centered on Hosea 2<\/a>.<\/b><\/p>\n

Fellowship time follows worship, and then the SInging Ensemble<\/b> will rehearse at 1 PM.<\/b><\/p>\n

3) A reminder that Sophia Laxar<\/b> is performing in dance recitals<\/b> at 2 and 5 PM Sunday afternoon.<\/b> The performances are at the Julia Morgan Theater, 2640 College Ave,<\/b> Berkeley. Sophia’s mom reports that things can get quite crowded, and there is quite a line about 1\/2 hour before, so if you’re interested, you can buy advance tickets<\/b> at the Shawl Anderson Dance Studio, 2704 Alcatraz Ave<\/b>, Berkeley. They are generally open mid-morning through 6-ish. Phone is 654-5921.
